Novecom develops and manufactures the SentineX® Remote Data Acquisition and Reporting Platform. SentineX is a remote environmental monitoring solution - its advanced communication and reporting platform represents a giant leap forward from manual data logging SentineX is being used by mining and industrial operations to manage their environmental monitoring obligations. It provides up-to-the-minute environmental data on mobile phone and the web, and emails summarised monitoring data to users’ desktops every day.

The SentineX product line currently includes: -SentineX Noise - noise monitoring and continuous audio recording -SentineX Dust - dust level monitoring and alarming -SentineX Met - meteorological condition monitoring -SentineX Odour - monitoring trace molecules in air (e.g. odour, or toxic chemicals)

SentineX units are generally installed in remote locations which require reliable telemetry options to ensure the timely receipt of data and alarm notifications. The Telstra CDMA network combined with the Maxon MM-5100 modem proved to be the most reliable and cost effective means of transferring data from the units. With the advent of the NextG network, and the Maxon modmax modem, the opportunities for the SentineX platform and the future growth of its capabilities have been greatly increased.
