Port Emulator", allowing you to create up to 255
serial port devices over a TCP/IP network,
enabling your existing legacy software
applications to connect to numerous remote
modems via IP. This Modem Emulation Software creates both virtual serial ports and virtual modems with the same functionality as real serial ports and hardware modems and establishes a connection to a remote IP socket. When the legacy application opens the virtual COM port, the Modem Port Emulator software simulates the modem handshaking via the virtual COM ports, and makes an IP connection to a remote device server at a specified IP address and port number. This allows any Legacy programs that can only connect to a serial port to now use IP Telemetry without changing your software. |
